First, it's all about the protein 💪
Yep, savoury breakfast = centered around protein. Protein is the most satiating macronutrient, most of us don't eat enough of it, and it keeps our glucose nice and steady. Then, add some fat. Yum. Also great for steadiness. Then comes optional fiber and optional starch. Throw in a veggie or a slice of toast if you want.
Importantly, a savoury breakfast contains nothing sweet except (if you want some, for taste), whole fruit.
So yes, I'm so sorry but that means orange juice, jam, breakfast cereal, honey... are out. Ciao. But you can have these as dessert after your lunch or your dinner, to get the pleasure from them with less of a glucose spike.
The result? No glucose spike for breakfast. So, fewer cravings, way less hunger for the rest of the day, and much more energy. Plus, on the inside, inflammation goes down, ageing slows down, your hormones balance... and you start to feel really amazing.
Now for some examples!
Because I know, I know, eggs are boring. Do not fear. I don't eat eggs every day for breakfast (although they are great!). I actually cook lots of different things for my breakfasts. Here are my recent inventions: |
